We are very lucky to live in one of the best spots in New Zealand to view the Aurora Australis, sometimes you have to be very quick to get out as high as possible into the hills to view them, as in the case with this shot, within 5 minutes of getting the alert on my phone that one was about to happen I had the vehicle packed with camera gear and on my way. Not long after I shot this panorama she started to fade so this was a lucky shot for me.
